Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes. 

  • If using ground turkey, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Start the Potatoes

    Cut potatoes into 1/4" wedges.

    Place potatoes, 1 Tbsp. olive oil, half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for meatloaves), and a pinch of pepper on prepared baking sheet. Massage oil and seasonings into potatoes. Spread into an even layer.

    Roast in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While potatoes roast, continue recipe.

    Form the Meatloaves

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko, a pinch of salt, and 1/4 cup water. Let rest, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground pork, half the cheese (reserve remaining for topping), remaining garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Stir to combine.

    Form mixture into four equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves.

    Assemble the Meatloaves

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven. Flip potatoes and push to one side of sheet. Sheet and potatoes will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Place meatloaves on now-empty side. Evenly top with ketchup, remaining cheese, then bacon; pressing gently to adhere.

    Finish the Potatoes and Meatloaves

    Roast in hot oven until potatoes are golden-brown and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove sheet from oven.

    Stir half the buttermilk-dill seasoning (reserve remaining for crema) into potatoes until combined. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While potatoes and meatloaves roast, continue recipe.

    Make Crema and Finish Dish

    Mince chives.

    In another mixing bowl, combine sour cream, chives, remaining buttermilk-dill seasoning, and 1 tsp. water. Set aside.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping potatoes with crema. Bon appétit!
