Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

Prepare the Ingredients
Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.
Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.Pat diced chicken breasts dry. -
Cook the Chicken
Place a large pot over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add diced chicken to hot pot and stir occasionally until chicken browns, 3-4 minutes.Add white portions of green onions, ginger, and half the red pepper flakes (use less if spice-averse) to hot pot. Stir occasionally until softened, 30-60 seconds. -
Start the Rice
Add mushrooms, rice, miso concentrate, and 1 1/4 cups water to hot pot and stir to combine. Bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce to a simmer. Cover, and cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 10-12 minutes.If pan becomes dry, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, as needed.While rice cooks, prepare broccoli. -
Add Broccoli and Glaze
Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
After 10-12 minutes, uncover pot and add broccoli and half the teriyaki glaze (reserve remaining for garnish).Cover, and cook until broccoli and rice are tender and water is fully absorbed, 6-8 minutes.Remove from burner. -
Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing rice with green portions of green onions, sesame seeds, remaining teriyaki glaze, and remaining red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
