Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

Customize It Instructions

Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil.

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

Add protein to meal as desired.

Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely chop spinach.
Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" dice. -
Cook the Onions
Place a large pot over medium heat and add 4 tsp. olive oil.
Add onions to hot pot and stir occasionally until tender and lightly browned, 6-8 minutes. -
Add the Broth
Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, 1/4 tsp. salt, onion salt, brown sugar, a pinch of pepper, and 3 cups water to hot pot. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, cover and cook until onions have softened and broth is heated through, 20-25 minutes. -
Add the Tortellini and Spinach
Add tortellini, 1/4 tsp. salt, cream base, a pinch of pepper, and spinach to hot pot. Return to a simmer.
Once simmering, cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir occasionally until heated through and spinach is wilted, 4-6 minutes.Remove from burner.While tortellini simmers, continue recipe. -
Make Crema and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, pesto, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bisque with crema. Bon appétit!
