Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

    Cook the Pasta

    Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 8-10 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander and set aside. Wipe pot clean and reserve.

    While pasta cooks, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim zucchini ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2" dice. Zucchini quantity may vary, but total weight will remain the same. Don't worry; recipe instructions are not impacted.

    Pat shrimp dry and season all over with lemon n herb seasoning.

    Cook the Shrimp and Zucchini

    Return pot used to cook pasta to medium-high heat and add 4 tsp. olive oil.

    Add shrimp and zucchini to hot pot. Stir occasionally until shrimp are pink and reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Add the Sauce and Pasta

    Add cream base, cream cheese, peas, 1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking water, garlic salt, half the shredded cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), and pasta to hot pot. Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, reduce heat to low and stir until cheese is melted and sauce is slightly thickened, 2-4 minutes.

    If sauce is too thick, add additional reserved pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    Remove from burner.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining shredded cheese and red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
