Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

Cook Beef and Prepare Ingredients
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and half the soy sauce (reserve remaining for sauce) to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer ground beef to a plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve. While beef cooks, trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle.Combine cornstarch and 1/2 cup water in a mixing bowl. Set aside. -
Cook the Cabbage
Return pan used to cook beef to medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil and cabbage to hot pan. Stir often until tender, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner. Transfer cabbage to plate with beef. Wipe pan clean; keep pan over medium-high heat. -
Make the Sauce
Add orange sauce, remaining soy sauce, mirin, and 1/2 cup water to hot pan used to cook beef and cabbage. Bring to a simmer.
Stir cornstarch-water mixture to recombine.Once simmering, add cornstarch-water mixture. Stir occasionally until thickened and sauce coats the back of a spoon, 1-2 minutes. -
Add Noodles, Beef, and Cabbage
Add noodles, beef, cabbage, and red pepper flakes (to taste) to hot pan. Stir until coated and heated through, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner. -
Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping noodles with wonton strips and green onions. Bon appétit!
