Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using Italian sausage, remove from casing, if necessary. Break up sausage until no pink remains and sausage reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

Crisp the Bacon
Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel.
Spread half the bacon (reserve remaining for sauce) evenly on towel-lined plate.Microwave until crispy, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. -
Prepare the Tomato
Core tomato and cut into 1/2" dice.

Cook the Pork
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground pork, tomatoes, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
Add the Sauce
Add tomato sauce, cream base, garlic salt, butter, peas, half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), and remaining bacon to hot pan.
Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Once simmering, add pasta to hot pan and stir until combined, 30-60 seconds.
Cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir occasionally until pasta is heated through, 4-5 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with crispy bacon and remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
