Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Start Potatoes and Form Patties

    Cut potatoes into 1" dice. Place potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    While potatoes microwave, in a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, and 1/2 tsp. salt.

    Form turkey mixture into four equally-sized patties, about 5" across.

    Finish the Potatoes

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add potatoes, 1/2 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan.

    Stir occasionally until browned, 8-10 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While potatoes cook, continue recipe.

    Toast the Buns

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add butter to hot pan and stir occasionally until melted, 30-60 seconds.

    Working in batches if needed, add buns, cut-side down. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

    Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean.

    Cook Patties and Finish Dish

    Add 2 tsp. olive oil and patties to hot pan. Cook until turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Evenly top patties with marinara, then mozzarella. Cover until cheese is melted and sauce is heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with patty and top bun. Garnish potatoes with Parmesan. Bon appétit!
