  • Salt
  • Cooking Spray
  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 1 Large Non-Stick Pan

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Roast the Carrots

    Peel, trim, and cut carrot into 1/2” slices on an angle. If carrot is larger than 1" in diameter, halve before slicing.

    Place carrots on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into a single layer.

    Roast in hot oven until fork-tender, 16-20 minutes.

    While carrots roast, continue recipe.

    Make the Glaze

    Coarsely chop pecans.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add miso paste, 2 Tbsp. water, and honey to hot pan. Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, stir occasionally until glaze thickens, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in butter until melted.

    Glaze Carrots and Finish Dish

    Add carrots to hot pan with glaze and stir until coated and combined.

    To serve, top carrots with pecans. Bon appétit!
