  • 1 Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • 1 Large Non-Stick Pan
  • 1 Microwave

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix and tzatziki. Set aside.

    In another mixing bowl, combine hummus, a pinch of salt, and 1 Tbsp. water. Set aside.

    Cook the Ground Beef and Peppers

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add peppers and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Add ground beef and break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Drain any excess liquid from pan. Pan will be hot! Use caution.

    Add the Tomatoes

    Add tomatoes, chile and cumin rub, and onion salt to hot pan. Stir often until combined and peppers are tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While mixture cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging.

    Combine rice, 1 tsp. olive oil, and piri piri seasoning (to taste) in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Fluff rice with a fork.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with beef mixture, slaw, and hummus. Bon appétit!
