Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Bake the Pork and Corn

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.

    Divide ground pork, corn, and fiesta seasoning evenly between provided trays. Top each tray with 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until no pink remains on pork and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 16-18 minutes.

    Add the Pasta and Sauce

    Carefully remove both trays from oven. Drain any excess liquid from trays. Break pork into smaller pieces. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Divide pasta, enchilada sauce, cream cheese, garlic salt, and half the shredded cheese (reserve remaining for topping) evenly between trays. Stir until completely combined. Top evenly with remaining shredded cheese.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until cheese is melted and golden-brown, 20-25 minutes.

    While trays bake, coarsely crush tortilla strips in shipping bag.

    Carefully remove trays from oven.

    To serve, garnish with crushed tortilla strips and sour cream. Bon appétit!
