Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 10-12 minutes.

    Cook the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, and onion salt. Form mixture into 16 equally-sized meatballs.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add meatballs to hot pan. Cover and roll occasionally until browned all over and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 11-13 minutes.

    While meatballs cook, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Potatoes

    Cut potatoes into 1" dice.

    Place potatoes and 1 Tbsp. water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

    Wipe bowl clean and reserve.

    While potatoes microwave, continue recipe.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add broccoli, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.

    Trim discolored ends off broccoli, if necessary. While broccoli cooks, trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Transfer broccoli to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat; no need to wipe clean.

    Add 2 tsp. olive oil, white portions of green onions, microwaved potatoes, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir occasionally until potatoes are browned and crispy, 6-9 minutes.

    Stir in broccoli until combined.

    Remove from burner.

    While vegetables cook, continue recipe.

    Add Sauce and Finish Dish

    In reserved bowl used to microwave potatoes, combine maple syrup and mustard.

    Uncover meatballs and add sauce to hot pan. Stir occasionally until meatballs are fully coated, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping vegetables with garlic aioli, cheese, and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
