Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using chicken cutlet, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 3-5 minutes per side. Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  • If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Cook the Pork Chops

    Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with pot roast seasoning.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add pork chops to hot pan and cook until golden-brown and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 3-5 minutes per side.

    Pork thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner chop, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.

    While pork cooks, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Apple

    Peel apple, quarter, and remove core. Cut into 1/2" dice.

    Make the Potatoes

    Add mashed potatoes and garlic salt to a microwave-safe bowl. Vigorously stir to combine.

    Microwave until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Add half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) and sour cream. Stir vigorously to combine. Set aside.

    While potatoes heat, continue recipe.

    Make Apple Topping and Finish Dish

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add apples and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until apples are slightly tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Add maple syrup and 2 Tbsp. water. Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, stir occasionally until slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Stir in butter until melted and combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork chop with apple topping and garnishing mashed potatoes with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
