Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Start the Green Beans

    Trim green beans, if necessary. Using hands, break into 1/2" pieces.

    In one provided tray, combine green beans, chicken base, and 1/4 cup water. Cover with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While green beans bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Chicken and Rice

    Crush almonds in shipping bag.

    Place panko on a plate and spread into an even layer.

    Pat chicken dry and season both sides with half the savory seasoning (reserve remaining for rice). Evenly top chicken with mayonnaise. Place chicken, mayonnaise-side down, onto panko, pressing gently to adhere. Transfer chicken to second provided tray and evenly top with 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging.

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Do not drain excess liquid.

    Stir rice, remaining savory seasoning, and half the almonds (reserve remaining for garnish) into tray with green beans until combined. Cover with foil.

    Bake Meal and Heat Sauce

    Bake both trays (rice mixture covered, chicken uncovered) in hot oven until rice mixture is heated through and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 18-22 minutes.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    While meal bakes, combine marinara and 1/4 cup water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a paper towel.

    Microwave covered until hot, 45-60 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    Carefully remove trays from oven. Stir butter into rice mixture until melted and combined.

    To serve, top chicken with marinara and garnish rice mixture with remaining almonds. Bon appétit!
