Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Start the Broccoli

    Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.

    In provided tray, combine broccoli, potato spice seasoning, and 1/2 tsp. olive oil. Massage oil and seasoning into broccoli. Spread into an even layer. Cover tray with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 20 minutes.

    While broccoli bakes, continue recipe.

    Add the Steaks

    Pat steaks dry and season both sides with steak seasoning.

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1/2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add steaks to hot pan and cook undisturbed until browned, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    After 20 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Uncover and push broccoli to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Transfer steaks to now-empty side of tray. Steaks will finish cooking in a later step.

    Bake Meal, Crisp Bacon, and Make Horseradish Aioli

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until broccoli is tender and steaks reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    While meal bakes, mince chives.

    Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Spread bacon on towel-lined plate.

    Microwave until crispy, 60-90 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise and horseradish sauce (to taste). Set aside.

    Carefully remove tray from oven.

    To serve, top steak with horseradish aioli (to taste) and chives. Garnish broccoli with crisped bacon, cheese, and sour cream. Bon appétit!
