To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  1. 1

    Form the Meatballs

Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry

In a mixing bowl, combine turkey, panko, BBQ spice rub (use less if spice-averse), and 1/2 tsp. salt. Form into 20 equally-sized meatballs.

Place meatballs and diced peppers into one provided tray.

In second provided tray, combine pasta, 1/2 cup water, cream base, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Cover tray with foil.

  2. 2

Start the Mac and Cheese and Meatballs

Bake both trays (mac and cheese covered, meatballs uncovered) in hot oven until meatballs start to brown and cheeses melt, 15-18 minutes.

Meatballs will finish cooking in a later step.

    While meal bakes, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Add Sauce and Bake Meal

In another mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce and honey.

    Carefully remove trays from oven.

Drain any excess moisture from tray with meatballs and diced peppers. Add sauce and stir until meatballs are coated. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

Stir mac and cheese to combine. Cover tray with foil. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

Bake both trays again (mac and cheese covered, meatballs uncovered) in hot oven until sauce is hot and bubbling and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-18 minutes.

Carefully remove both trays from oven.

    Bon appétit!
