Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Prepare the Pork Mixture
Break ground pork into bite-sized pieces.
Evenly divide pork, peppers, and 2/3 the taco seasoning (reserve remaining for rice) between both provided trays. Spread into an even layer.Cover trays with foil. -
Start Pork Mixture and Add Sauce and Beans
Bake both trays covered in hot oven until pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
While pork mixture bakes, drain beans.Carefully remove trays from oven. Uncover and stir pork mixture, breaking up pork into smaller pieces. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.Evenly divide tomato sauce and beans between both trays. Stir to combine. -
Bake Meal and Heat Rice
Bake again uncovered in hot oven until sauce is hot and bubbling, 10-15 minutes.
While meal bakes, carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging. Combine rice and remaining taco seasoning in a microwave-safe bowl.Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Fluff rice with a fork.Carefully remove trays from oven. Stir pork mixture until combined. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.To serve, top rice with pork mixture and garnish with cheese, sour cream, salsa (to taste), and tortilla strips. Bon appétit!
