Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

  1. 1

    Roast Fries and Make Sauce

Cut potatoes into 1/2" thick fries and pat dry.

Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Spread into a single layer. Roast in hot oven until lightly browned, 28-30 minutes, tossing fries halfway through.

While potatoes roast, in a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise and BBQ sauce. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Form the Burgers

In another mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper.

Form beef mixture into 4 equally-sized patties, about 5" in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook undisturbed until browned on one side, 4-6 minutes.

Flip patties and top with cheese. Cover and cook until cheese is melted and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 3-4 minutes.

Remove from burner. Transfer burgers to a plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve.

  4. 4

    Toast Buns and Finish Dish

Return pan used to cook burgers to medium heat.

Add buns to hot, dry pan. Toast until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.

Work in batches, if necessary. Remove from burner.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with sauce, burger, crispy onions, arugula, and top bun. Bon appétit!
