Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Start the Filling
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking and after handling raw meat and seafood. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry. Spray provided trays with cooking spray.
Evenly divide carrot & celery blend, onions, and 2 tsp. olive oil between both provided trays.Break ground beef into small pieces. Top vegetables evenly with beef and season all over with 1/4 tsp. salt.Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are mostly tender and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 17-20 minutes.While filling bakes, continue recipe. -
Heat Potatoes and Finish Filling
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mashed potatoes (no need to drain), crème fraîche, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.
Carefully remove from microwave. Vigorously stir in cheese until combined.After 17-20 minutes, carefully remove trays from oven. Drain excess liquid from trays. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil. Evenly divide tomato puree, peas, onion salt, and demi-glace between trays. Stir to combine. -
Assemble Pie and Bake Meal
Top filling with an even layer of mashed potatoes.
Bake uncovered in hot oven until heated through and topping is lightly browned, 10-15 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. Bon appétit!
