Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions as ground pork in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as ground pork in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 22-25 minutes.

  1. 1

    Start the Broccoli

Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

Combine broccoli, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1 tsp. olive oil in provided tray.

Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    While broccoli bakes, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Add the Meatballs

    Finely crush saltines.

Combine ground pork, saltines, mayonnaise, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper in a mixing bowl until completely combined. Form into six equally-sized meatballs.

Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir in corn and push to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

Add meatballs to now-empty side of tray.

  3. 3

    Bake the Meal

Bake uncovered in hot oven until broccoli is tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

While meal bakes, combine BBQ sauce, ketchup, 2 Tbsp. water, a pinch of salt, and chipotle pepper paste (to taste) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.

Carefully remove sauce from microwave and tray from oven. Stir half the cheese into vegetables (reserve remaining for garnish).

To serve, top vegetables with remaining cheese and top meatballs with BBQ sauce mixture. Bon appétit!
