Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Sausage and Poblanos

    Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary. Break up sausage into bite-sized pieces using hands.

    Evenly divide sausage, poblanos (use less if spice-averse), and 2 tsp. olive oil between both provided trays.

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until poblanos are slightly tender and Italian sausage browns, 8-10 minutes.

    Sausage will finish cooking in a later step.

    Carefully remove both trays from oven.

    Add the Pasta and Sauce

    Evenly divide cream base, cream cheese, shredded cheese, pasta, garlic salt, and mirepoix base between both trays. Stir to combine and evenly coat pasta. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes. Top pasta evenly with bacon.

    Bake Meal and Crisp Bacon

    Bake both trays again uncovered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-12 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from oven. Stir pasta to combine.
