Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Prepare the Meatloaves and Risotto

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, half the pesto (reserve remaining for risotto), half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for risotto), and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Form mixture into four equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height. Place meatloaves in one provided tray.

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging. In second provided tray, combine rice, cream base, remaining pesto, remaining garlic salt, peas, and 3/4 cup water. Cover with foil.

    Bake both trays (meatloaves uncovered, rice covered) in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from oven.

    Add the Sauce and Cheese

    Uncover risotto and stir. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Evenly top meatloaves with marinara, then mozzarella.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake both trays again uncovered in hot oven until risotto has thickened and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from oven. Add Parmesan and a pinch of salt to risotto. Stir vigorously to combine. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. If too thick, add water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Bon appétit!
