Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken breasts or chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using sirloin steaks or NY strip steak, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

Prepare the Ingredients
Peel apple, quarter, and remove core. Cut into 1/4" dice.
Peel and slice potatoes into 1" rounds.Mince sage.Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for potatoes) and a pinch of pepper. -
Sear the Potatoes
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add potatoes, remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Cook until golden-brown, 2-3 minutes per side.Remove from burner. -
Roast the Potatoes
Transfer potatoes to prepared casserole dish.
Place butter, chicken base, and 2 Tbsp. water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered, 1 minute.Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine.Evenly top potatoes with butter mixture, then cheese.Roast in hot oven until potatoes are tender, 18-22 minutes.While potatoes roast, continue recipe. -
Cook the Pork Chops
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add pork chops to hot pan and cook until golden-brown and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 3-5 minutes per side.Pork thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner chop, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Transfer pork chops to a plate and tent with foil. Rest, 3 minutes.Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean. -
Make Sauce and Finish Dish
Add 1 tsp. olive oil and apples to hot pan. Stir occasionally until starting to soften, 3-4 minutes.
Add caramelized onions, mustard (to taste), sage (to taste), 1/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, stir occasionally, 1 minute.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork chop with sauce. Bon appétit!
