Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

If using ground beef, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

1 Form the Meatballs
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, half the cheese (reserve remaining for sauce), half the pesto (reserve remaining for sauce), half the onion salt (reserve remaining for rice), and 1/4 tsp. pepper.
Form mixture into 12 evenly-sized meatballs and place in one provided tray. Evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil. -
2 Prepare the Rice Mixture
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.
Place rice, peas, and remaining onion salt in second provided tray.Evenly top with softened butter (to taste) and cover with foil. Butter will melt as meal bakes. -
3 Bake Meal and Make Sauce
Bake both trays (rice covered, meatballs uncovered) in hot oven until rice is heated through and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
While meal bakes, in a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream base, remaining pesto, tomatoes, and remaining cheese.Microwave uncovered until heated through and cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine. Set aside.Carefully remove trays from oven. Uncover rice and stir in a pinch of salt until combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.To serve, top meatballs with sauce. Bon appétit!
