Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Start the Mashed Potatoes

    Place mashed potatoes in provided tray. Vigorously stir to combine and spread into an even layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until heated through, 5-7 minutes.

    While potatoes bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Chicken

    Finely crush pretzels in shipping bag.

    Pat chicken dry.

    After 5-7 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven and vigorously stir mashed potatoes to combine. Push potatoes to one side of tray and top with butter. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Butter will melt as meal bakes.

    Place chicken in now-empty side of tray. Top evenly with 2 tsp. mustard (reserve remaining for garnish), then pretzels, pressing gently to adhere. Drizzle with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Stir mashed potatoes to combine.

    To serve, top chicken with remaining mustard (using a clean utensil). Bon appétit!
