Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes. 

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Green Onions

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Cook the Beef Mixture

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, barbeque seasoning (use less if spice-averse), white portions of green onions, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Drain any excess grease and transfer ground beef to a mixing bowl.

    Add half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for sauce) to bowl with beef and stir to combine. Set aside.

    Assemble the Pizzas

    In another mixing bowl, combine marinara and remaining BBQ sauce. Set aside.

    Place flatbreads, flat-side up, on prepared baking sheets.

    Divide sauce evenly between flatbreads. Spread out sauce with a spoon, leaving 1/2" at edge of each flatbread without sauce (this will be the crust).

    Evenly divide ground beef mixture, cheddar, and mozzarella between flatbreads.

    Bake Pizzas and Finish Dish

    Bake pizzas in hot oven until cheese is bubbling and crust is golden-brown, 15-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, cutting pizzas into 4 equally-sized pieces. Top with dressing and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
