Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Spread bacon evenly on towel-lined plate. Microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    While bacon crisps, trim green beans, if necessary, and halve.

    Coarsely chop almonds.

    Crush crispy peppers in shipping bag.

    Prepare the Chicken

    In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and crisped bacon. Set aside.

    Pat chicken dry. Lay chicken on a separate cutting board. Hold knife blade parallel to the board and carefully make a lengthwise cut through the center of the meat, using your free hand to steady meat. Stop short of opposite edge of breast so chicken remains in one piece. Open meat as you would a book. Divide cream cheese filling evenly between chicken, placing in center. Fold chicken in half over filling.

    Roast the Chicken

    Place chicken on prepared baking sheet. Season with a pinch of pepper.

    Roast in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

    While chicken roasts, continue recipe.

    Cook the Green Beans

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1/2 tsp. olive oil. Add green beans to hot pan and cook, 1 minute.

    Add 1/4 cup water, chicken base, and a pinch of pepper. Cover and cook until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover, and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Stir in butter until melted and combined.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, slicing chicken into 1/2" slices, if desired. Top chicken with dressing (to taste) and sprinkle with half the crushed crispy peppers (remaining are yours to use as you please!). Garnish green beans with almonds. Bon appétit!
