Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Salmon

    Pat salmon fillets dry and season flesh side with chimichurri seasoning and a pinch of salt.

    Bake the Salmon

    Place salmon in provided tray, skin-side down.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until salmon is firm and reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Rest, 5 minutes.

    While salmon bakes, continue recipe.

    Assemble the Salad

    In a mixing bowl, combine kale, spinach, tomatoes (if you receive a whole tomato, cut into 1/2" dice), banana peppers (to taste), and dressing.

    For more tender kale, combine kale and dressing in a mixing bowl. Massage dressing into kale until tender, 1-2 minutes.

    To serve, garnish salad with pita chips and cheese. Garnish salmon with tzatziki. Bon appétit!
